The Method Behind MY Work

Identity-led personal styling for Women

Roberta Style Lee - The Method. The IMPACT framework.

For women whose lives have evolved

I don’t start with clothes.

I start with context – who you are now, how your life operates, and what you need your wardrobe to support.

Most personal styling focuses on optimisation.
Better colours. Flattering silhouettes. Smarter purchases.

That approach works when life is stable.

It falls short when identity, visibility, or priorities have shifted.

My work exists for those who seek confidence from their clothes, as well as women who feel confident in themselves, yet sense that their wardrobe no longer reflects it.  Not because they lack style, but because they’ve evolved…and their clothes haven’t quite caught up yet.

How I work:

  • I work with identity first, not aesthetics in isolation

  • Styling is treated as a strategic tool, not a surface-level fix

  • Sustainability is embedded as a methodology, not a label

  • The focus is coherence, longevity, and clarity – not trends

  • This work supports life transitions, leadership, and visibility

  • There is no “perfect wardrobe”, only one that can evolve with you

What I mean by identity-led styling

Some stylists incorporate small elements of sustainability, others follow trends or adapt as the industry changes.

I began this work long before it was “popular” – because it was always part of my values. Since 2015, sustainability has shaped every aspect of my business:
my wardrobe, my purchasing decisions, my styling philosophy, my collaborations, and my work with brands and clients.

It isn’t a marketing angle for me – it’s the foundation.

When I talk about identity, its about exploring a style where everything aligns, not forced, but natural, yet elevating.

It’s a feeling that compounds when you look in the mirror.  A style that reflects who you are from the inside-out.

Why traditional styling frameworks often fall short

Your style should empower you without compromising your values. I believe beautiful clothes should still honour the people who make them. Confidence should never be at the expense of someone else, often the case with cheap mass produced fashion.

Style should feel luxurious,  feel aligned, intentional and meaningful.

And yes – you can absolutely enjoy beautiful things while living consciously and sustainably. For me, sustainability is not about sacrifice – it’s about discernment.

When women are navigating:

  • leadership progression

  • career change

  • personal reinvention

  • midlife shifts

  • increased public or professional visibility

Rule-based styling systems tend to optimise the past rather than support the present, or future goals.

My work starts where those systems stop.

The role of sustainability in my work

Sustainability is not a personality trait or a badge here. It functions as a methodology.

That means:

  • fewer, better decisions

  • investment over accumulation

  • longevity over constant change

  • repetition without boredom

  • adaptation rather than replacement

A sustainable wardrobe is one that evolves with you – not one that freezes you in a past version of yourself.

Why there is no perfect wardrobe

This matters because as women we are sold the illusion that a capsule wardrobe will solve our style challenges and help the planet.

There is no final wardrobe that solves style forever. I’ve experienced this first hand.

  • Bodies change.
  • Lives change.
  • Roles change.
  • Where we live changes.
  • Confidence deepens and shifts.

The goal is not a perfect wardrobe – it’s about how what we build can adapt with you.

Together we work to create a wardrobe that supports your current chapter, while remaining flexible enough to evolve into the next.

How the IMPACTT framework fits in

The framework below exists to hold complexity without noise.

  • It is not a checklist.
  • It is not a formula.
  • It is not about rules.

It provides a structured tried and tested process that is built to honour women during moments of:

  • transition

  • refinement

  • recalibration

  • increased visibility

So decisions feel grounded rather than overwhelming.

IMPACT Framework:

Who is identity led personal styling for?

This approach is most effective for women who:

  • feel confident internally but uncertain how to express that visually

  • have outgrown a wardrobe that once worked well

  • are entering a new chapter, decade, or level of visibility

  • value depth, intention, and longevity over trends

  • want clarity, not constant shopping

It is not about becoming someone else.   It’s about aligning how you show up with who you already are – and who you are becoming.
