Celebrity Campaign Styling — Sustainable Car Brand Partnership

The Brief

A major talent agency commissioned me to style a high-profile sporting personality for a red carpet appearance celebrating an international achievement. The talent had an existing partnership with a premium car brand built around a shared commitment to sustainability, and the brief needed to reflect that consistently across the full experience — from wardrobe and accessories through to beauty products and brand alignment.

Everything she wore, used, and carried had to be sourced responsibly. Fashion, accessories, skincare, hair products, makeup — every category, every product, verified against genuine sustainability and vegan credentials. The BTS content would capture the full journey, so nothing could be out of step with the brand’s values.

The Challenge

This was not a styling brief with a sustainability checkbox. Sustainability wasn’t an add-on to this brief. It informed sourcing decisions across every category. Each product had to connect to a coherent visual story rooted in the brand’s values and the talent’s own. Reference points from the brand’s existing creative partnerships helped shape the visual language — not to replicate them, but to understand the aesthetic world the brief was asking me to work within.

That level of coherence requires genuinely knowing the sustainable fashion and beauty landscape — which brands are credible, which ones photograph well, and which ones feel right for this talent at this particular moment. That knowledge is why I was brought in.

The Work

I led the full creative process. 1:1 time with the talent to understand her style preferences and how she wanted to feel on the night. Mood boards developed for both the red carpet look and the BTS content. Sustainable and vegan fashion, beauty and accessory products sourced and verified across every category. Visual concept presented at first fitting, minimum two weeks before the event. Final fitting with an alterations specialist one week out.

What the Client Didn't Have to Think About

One point of contact. One invoice. Sustainable sourcing research, talent liaison, a makeup artist with red carpet and eco-beauty experience, alterations specialist, and full product logistics — all handled by the RSL team. The agency focused on their talent. I handled everything else.

A Note on This Project

The event was cancelled at short notice due to COVID restrictions — outside the control of any party. The creative work, sourcing and fittings had all been completed in full by that point.
