Something has been shifting behind the scenes, it happened quietly, intentionally – a new chapter was on the horizon for me and my work (and wardrobe)
If you’ve been following my work for a while, you may have noticed subtle changes in the way my brand looks, how I dress, the tone of my content, and the spaces I frequent. Lunch meetings at The Ivy, business catch-ups at The Ned, a more refined visual identity, and a renewed focus on craftsmanship and sustainable luxury.
None of this is accidental it’s been a mirror of my own evolution.
After more than twelve years outside the corporate world, I’ve moved through several chapters of identity – each one revealing something new about what I value, how I express myself, and what sustainability truly means in the context of a real, modern life.
Corporate Polish → to outspoken FASHION Activist → To Elevated, Intentional Style
When I left the corporate world, I didn’t just change my job – I changed how I saw myself. I wanted freedom. Creativity. And space to explore my values.
For a long time, that showed up in my wardrobe and my brand – a shift toward the more relaxed, approachable, “blogger/activist” energy that reflected my desire to do things differently and champion change. Less rigid more room to explore and make mistakes, learn and grow.
But over time, I felt a pull back towards a part of myself I hadn’t been giving enough time to: the part that appreciates polish, structure, craftsmanship, tailoring, and quality. The part of me that feels most at home in refined materials and intentional spaces. The part of me that finds confidence in well-made pieces that support how I want to show up in the world.
I’ve always gravitated towards:
- Quality over quantity
- Craftsmanship over fast fixes
- Natural fibres – leather, wool, silk, cashmere, over synthetics
- Elevated spaces that feel calm, purposeful, and creative.
This has always been part of who I am. The sale of my earlier designer purchases helped fund my business when I first started — a reminder that good craftsmanship has enduring value. And the truth is, I missed the reassurance that comes from knowing a handbag, a coat, or a pair of shoes will last decades, not just a few years.
Why I’m Choosing Sustainable Luxury
Through my work with my clients and working with hundreds of brands – and more than a decade exploring the sustainable fashion industry, something has become very clear to me:
True sustainability starts with alignment. And before you can reach that there’s a process. First comes clarity. Then Refinement. Then alignment.
It’s about choosing well, buying intentionally, and investing in pieces that support your identity, your lifestyle, and your values.
It’s about embracing longevity through quality. It’s about wearing clothes that reflect the woman you are becoming, not the version of yourself you feel you “should” be.
I’ve spent the years supporting small independent brands, championing emerging designers, and giving space to innovative makers. That continues. But I also recognise the importance of investing in pieces that truly resonate with me — refined, enduring, beautifully made.
- There is room for it all:
- Sustainable luxury and sustainable creativity.
- Investments and preloved.
- Elegance and values.
And this more nuanced, mature approach is the direction my personal brand and creative work has moved towards.
a new chapter: Luxury With Integrity
I’ve realised that sustainability isn’t defined by the place you have lunch, the hotel you stay in, or whether your evening bag is second-hand or new.
It is defined by:
- intentional choices
- long-term thinking
- responsible consumption
- quality over excess
- and an identity rooted in clear values
It’s entirely possible to enjoy beautifully curated spaces, travel mindfully, attend events like F1 or Fashion Week, and still live in alignment with conscious values. For a long time, I felt that the two could not co-exist, until I started navigating the grey – and realised sustainability isn’t about moral punity and perfection.
Because we are meant to live well, and sustainability should support a meaningful, joyful, abundant life – not limit it.
A Realignment, Not a Rebrand
What you’re seeing across my brand is not a pivot – it’s an evolution that I am proud of.
- A refinement of identity.
- A deepening of values.
- An evolution of aesthetic direction.
And it brings it all together, where I am after a decade of working within sustainable fashion, there’s the quiet confidence I feel drawn to now. The identity-led approach that underpins all my styling work and echoes my own journey. Then the demand for elevated, sustainable luxury and a desire to challenge outdated narratives about what sustainability “should” look like feels deeply aligned for me.
My mission remains the same: to help women align their wardrobe with their identity, values, and next chapter. But I am doing it now from a place that feels more grounded, more refined, and even more authentically me.

A Quiet Evolution – a new chapter
The visual shift you’ll see across my website, branding, content, and creative direction reflects this deeper alignment:
- Neutral, refined palettes, elevated styling, luxury craftsmanship spotlight, more editorial storytelling and a calmer, clearer, more confident voice
This isn’t a loud announcement – because there is no dramatic transformation. It’s a quiet evolution that’s been happening over the past few years — the kind that occurs when you stop forcing yourself into boxes you’ve outgrown and allow your identity, values, and aesthetic to mature with you.
Thank you for being here, and for evolving with me.
I’m excited for the next ten years of Roberta Style Lee.
