Roberta Lee Styles the Sustainable Women's Catwalk at Pure London

Commercial Styling · February 2020

Demonstrating how sustainable fashion can deliver creativity, versatility and commercial appeal on the runway

Commissioned by Pure London, Roberta Lee styled the Sustainable Women's Catwalk, bringing together ethical fashion brands to demonstrate that responsible fashion can be every bit as creative, aspirational and commercially relevant as conventional fashion. Working closely with participating brands, Roberta curated a series of runway looks that celebrated individuality, craftsmanship and versatility. Rather than focusing on sustainability as a limitation, the catwalk showcased beautifully designed collections capable of sitting confidently alongside mainstream fashion. Presented to buyers, retailers and industry professionals, the show challenged outdated perceptions of sustainable fashion and highlighted how thoughtful styling can transform the way collections are experienced. By focusing on wearability, longevity and modern styling, the catwalk reinforced that responsible fashion belongs firmly within the future of the industry.

Roberta Lee on styling for longevity

Updated 2026

Catwalks often celebrate what's new. I believe they should also celebrate what lasts. One of the greatest opportunities for fashion is moving beyond presenting clothing as something to consume and instead presenting it as something to live in. Styling has the power to help people see possibilities they may never have considered - how one garment can work across different occasions, evolve with personal style and remain relevant long after a single season. Luxury isn't about having more options.

It's about recognising the value already sitting in front of you. When styling encourages people to see clothing differently, we begin shifting the conversation away from constant consumption and towards creativity, versatility and discernment. Style isn't about clothes. It's about helping people build wardrobes that continue to earn their place, year after year.
