ABOUT: Roberta Lee
The Sustainable Stylist

Hi!
I’ve been a values-led stylist since 2015, ever since The True Cost documentary opened my eyes to the fashion industry’s hidden impact. It changed everything.
I’m not perfect, but I’m committed. I try to live by my values every day—and that includes the clothes I wear, the brands I support, and the businesses I work with.
I’ve built a wardrobe I’m proud of—one my future self would be excited about too. And now, I help others do the same.
looking good shouldn't cost the earth
Looking good shouldn’t cost the earth.
Everyone deserves to look good, feel confident, and make a positive impact.
Whether you’re using my free resources, joining the group styling experience, or working with me 1:1 or on a commercial shoot—there’s always a way to reduce your footprint without sacrificing style.

why is sustainable styling so important?
Most people weren’t taught how to shop or dress with intention. And even fewer understand the fashion industry’s true impact on the planet and people.
When I started learning about the industry a decade ago, I was shocked—and deeply compelled to change. I knew I couldn’t advocate for confidence, equality, and empowerment while turning a blind eye to the damage fast fashion was causing.
As a Sustainable Stylist, I help individuals and brands look good while doing good—by building wardrobes and campaigns that are aligned with their values and kinder to the planet.

The clothing and textile industry is one of the largest polluters in the world. Using more of our planet’s natural resources faster than it can regenerate. Looking good shouldn’t cost the earth.

An estimated £140 million worth (350,000 tonnes) of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK every year. Many items are made from synthetic fibres that take 100s of years to decompose.

Extending the life of clothes by just nine extra months of active use would reduce carbon, water, and waste footprints by around 20–30% each. Proving choosing preloved matters.

why: sustainable styling
My journey started in 2014, during a personal crisis that left me feeling disconnected from myself—and my wardrobe. I realised the power of style as a tool to rebuild confidence and identity.
That journey led me to create Roberta Style Lee in 2015, rooted in values-based styling, where confidence and ethics go hand-in-hand. I started reconnecting with the issues I care deeply about—gender equality, environmental protection, animal welfare, and workers’ rights.
I couldn’t ignore the contradiction between empowering women and supporting an industry that exploits them. So I chose a better way.
empower and inspire
At the heart of my work is a simple mission:
To empower individuals and inspire brands to make confident, conscious choices that lead to lasting change.
Whether I’m guiding a woman to take charge of her style narrative or advising brands on a sustainably styled shoot, the goal is the same: to align style with values—and make a positive impact.
Because when your outfit looks great and tells a story you believe in, that’s where real empowerment begins.
A thoughtfully created wardrobe benefits not only the wearer—but also the planet and the people who make our clothes.
