Whilst I don't generally build wardrobes around trends, there are moments when they can provide inspiration. Wimbledon is a wonderful example. It isn't about dressing for a trend. It's about embracing an event with a sense of occasion, while interpreting it in a way that still feels authentic to you. The trick with any trend is to take only the elements that genuinely resonate with your personal style. Before buying something new, ask yourself whether you can imagine wearing it a hundred times, or whether it only appeals because it's having a moment.
If it's the latter, consider renting or borrowing instead. Experiment by all means, but do so thoughtfully. Style isn't about clothes. It's about knowing yourself well enough to distinguish between inspiration and impulse. Save your investment pieces for the clothes you'll reach for time and time again, not the ones you'll wear once for a photograph courtside. Alignment with your identity will always outlast the trend cycle.
