Looking for some style inspiration for spring? Spring is a time of new beginnings and new hope. As the weather warms up and the flowers start to bloom, it’s the perfect time to start creating colourful outfit combinations for spring.
Whatever your preference, spring is a great time to experiment with colourful accessories, for SS22 it’s about acid bright colours, lots of purple and green. Instead of falling into the trend trap, see what trending colours are already in your wardrobe (they don’t have to be an exact match) and try to create new looks from your basics by switching up the colours you wear usually – if you’re cautious of colour stick to pops of brightness via your bags, belts and jewellery
All of the outfits can be recreated with what you already own, or by shopping pre-loved online, thrifting in charity shops or even swapping with friends, borrowing or even renting if you’re in love with a certain colour, but are fairly sure it will be a fickle relationship (that would be more yellow and purple for me, which does not exist in my wardrobe – ok, 1 muted yellow summer top and I own zero purple items!).
Outfits include some example pieces by some of my favourite ethical and sustainable brands. Any items marked with a (*pg) means it was a previous gift and I will have (or will be) carrying out an honest review in due course.
Here are 5 outfit ideas that are timeless (the only trends I have incorporated from ss22 are the pops of bright colours):
