In today’s style diary I share my simple, casual and chic, weekend outfit in men’s joggers – perfect for running errands and lounging at home. Given my style is quite polished you may be surprised that my off-duty look is a lot more relaxed! I still stick to my signature black and white for my neutrals and a bright pop of red on my nails makes sure that I keep some of my winter colours present.
Casual, comfortable weekend outfit (OOOTD)
- Cream jumper, found at a clothing swap pre-pandemic, worn on repeat. Find similar on preloved clothing sites.
- Black cropped T-shirt, very old fast-fashion. Purchased about 15-years ago. I keep dying it black when it fades every couple of years, which work great as it’s 100 % cotton. Try searching for this style of cotton T-shirt on preloved sites. Tip: looks for kids T-shirts if you’re quite small and petite.
- Men’s Nike jogging bottoms purchased preloved via Vinted for my partner but I ended up swiping them for myself. Worn on repeat.
- Sustainable white kicks by an amazing sustainable trainer brand called Hylo Athletics (previously gifted). I freaking love these and have them in in black too.
- The pooch is called Daisy and she is a long haired chiwawa, she is my friends dog who we occasionally dog sit. She loves to photobomb me!

Crisp white sustainable sports trainers
The key for any chic outfit is the finishing touches, such as footwear. A clean crisp pair of trainers really gives a nice polished look. You can read my review about Hylo Athletics trainers, here. I wear these mostly for leisure as I don’t like to get them dirty!
Style notes
This outfit is so easy to pull together. It works well because the cream and the black create a nice sandwich effect, the all black elongates the body and the flash of skin in the midriff, hints at a nipped in waist. The crisp white trainers keep the look fresh and clean. The jumper across the shoulders with its chunky knit is a nice contrast to the all black outfit and trainers, and stops it looking like I’ve just stepped out of the gym. I swap this for a lighter jumper on days when it’s too hot to wear a jumper on my shoulders, but I want a bit of neck protection from the sun. The preppy jumper over the shoulders is key to this look.
Let me know what you think, will you give the off duty joggers and preppy jumper look at go? Maybe you have a partner, brother, friend or son that has a pair of these joggers. Let me know if you’re able to recreate the look!
